CreateDiskImage is a simple droplet application which can create high compressed disk images.

This application works in a very easy way. All you need to do is to drop a folder over its icon, and it displays a dialog which allows you to start or abort the disk image creation process.

The creation time of the disk image can take some time. It is dependent on the CPU speed of your machine, and the content of the dropped directory.

CreateDiskImage doesn't provide any kind of options. It provides just an easy way of creating high compression disk images.

Pluses: easy to use.

Drawbacks / flaws: it doesn't provide any custom configuration setup.

In conclusion: the application is good for basic tasks. For advanced task, you may try dedicated tools such as DMG Converter, or CreaDMG.
